Board of Directors

At fifteen, my world shifted overnight. One morning I was an energetic teen; the next, I could barely rise from bed. My muscles burned, my joints flared, and my energy vanished: yet no one saw the pain beneath my smile. Doctors shrugged, teachers doubted, and whispers followed me: “She’s exaggerating.”

In truth, my immune system was waging war against me; I was living with Lupus SLE, a chronic disease I have to live with my entire life. Still, receiving that diagnosis brought tears of relief, not fear. Finally, someone acknowledged I wasn’t making it up. But relief didn’t erase the daily uphill battle: endless meds, overwhelming fatigue, mental health struggles, and mourning the life I’d lost. Instead of surrendering, I educated myself, demanded better care, and fought each day for the dignity I deserved. By my 20s, I’d steadied my Lupus, hope and plans returned.

Then, at 27, I faced another blow: Class 4 Kidney Disease. Out of five stages I had class four. Dialysis and transplant loom as possibilities. Yet fear gave way to clarity: I envisioned a community-led lifeline for people like me. A place where no one’s suffering is invisible. That vision became the Wellness Warriors Charity.

WWC is a first of its kind network built by survivors, for survivors. We don’t just share resources; we deploy those resources with live advocates who navigate insurance calls, schedule doctor visits, deliver meals and medications, and even sit with someone in crisis. We host support groups led by medical, spiritual, and mental-health experts, and we’re building an online “survival library” of scripts, forms, and videos so patients can claim their rights and care.

When you partner with us, you’re answering a silent cry for help. Your support sends trained navigators to advocate for the too-weak, provides transportation to life-saving treatments, and delivers essentials to those in flare-ups. You give warriors the tools and community I once needed.

We’re not waiting for the system to change. We’re becoming the system we needed all along. This is our collective story of resilience, courage, and compassion. With your partnership, it’s one that ends in hope rather than defeat.
